Babel Embassy wurde im Jahr 2006 gegründet. Broziom traf auf den ebenfalls projektfreien alten Freund Marcin. Zusammen gründeten sie Babel Embassy.

 

Berlin based Broziom (vocals, saz, and dance) started his first band, Alice Brennen playing Saz – a Turkish string instrument - in 1988 with guitarist Douglas Henderson, and Bodhran Player Noël O'Callaghan from Cork, Ireland. With their Turkish-Irish-speedfolk this band was one of the first to explore the boundary between oriental and occidental cultures in terms of rock, punk and folk music. His next project with Douglas Henderson Jakata Omelette (1999), was an electronic duo, which put multimedia aspects to the intercultural discourse. In 2005 Broziom founded Babel Embassy with exceptional Polish guitarist Marcin Dworski, who played before in bands such as SEK, Antiprogress and Be Hungry. Babel Embassy with their - Ethnotronic Dadawave – performances provides an eruption of sound guaranteed to rock you speakers. Broziom sings in fantasy lyrics he describes as dada speak, although it sometimes sounds like segments of real languages. On stage he and dancer, Eva Blaschke present a performance influenced by Laban and Butho techniques, accompanied by guitarist Marcin Dworski’s electronic beat. In his own words, "Babel Embassy is the sound life: Absurd, funny, and sometimes dark, a danceable pageant!” BIOGRAPHIES Matthias Brozio, born in 1957 in West Germany. In 1984 Mr. Brozio was a singer in the band Langer Samstag (NDW), and a participant in Moloch (an industrial noise performance) 1988 - 1998 he was a participant/founder of the band Alice Brennen (Türkish irish speedfolk) 1999 - 2003 Singer/performer in Jakata Omelet (electronic Liveact with video performance) 1997 Main part as Siegfried in the musical „Niebeloosical “ 2003/2004 dance performance with Elke Fernholz (sax) Various journeys for music research and language acquisition Turkey, Syria and Yemen. Since 2005 founding member of Babel Embassy 2006/2007 extensive training as a dance instructor Marcin Dworski born in 1966 in Danzig, Poland. Mr. Dworski was strongly connected with the Danziger alternative artist scene of the 80s. There he played in the band DD-2 and Widmo, and was a member of the artist group, Totart. After moving to Berlin in 1989 he founded the band B Hungry, which played numerous concerts at home and abroad. He performed with different Yass - bands like Tempotanga “(2000) and he has been a member of the Punkband Anti-progress since 2002. From 2002 to 2005 he was a member of the band SE K a formation of Polish, Nigerian, German and Hungarian musicians. Mr. Dworski has been a musician participated in different dance and theater projects, like the Bhuto festival 1999 as well as in the play „Dziadek Stanislaw “from Lopez Mausere. Eva Blaschke, born 1967 in Hungary. Ms. Blaschke is an enthusiastic dancer, and instructor, and has studied Laban/Bartenieff technique in Berlin, modern dance and new Dance in the USA, and contact improvisation as well as Gyrokinesis. Since 1990, in both Germany and abroad, she has performed with several different ensembles, like the Slices ensemble, the Performance Stage Berlin, the Trapezduo Airborn Dancers and as a solo performer in Trapeztanz. With her Hungarian roots, Ms. Blaschke artistically and in her private life has been familiar with the issues of a lost homeland, emigration, and life as a foreign national and brings this knowledge to many projects.
